Chinese New Year

   This is the second Chinese New Year which I spent in Malaysia. It’s a very special experience. In China, CNY always come in winter, sometimes, it will snow, and everywhere is white; while in Malaysia, CNY comes in very hot weather, sometimes, it will rain which is unlike the first CNY in Malaysia, I went to travel with my friends. Because we really had a long holiday, we went to Penang and Langkawi. That’s really nice places!   Our journal has 5 days in all including the time of go and back. First, we went to Penang, that’s a beautiful coastal city, so many foreigners and delicious food there! They come from all over the world. At that time, I found Penang like a small world, although the history is not very long and everywhere is still developing. The characters of architecture are mix. They absorb many different elements from the whole world, so you can’t tell where it is if you only catch a glimpse of Penang. At night, we went night market in Penang. We saw lots of special souvenirs and local food. It’s an unforgettable night!   The next destination is langkawi where we hope to go all the time. It had not disappointed us. That’s a very beautiful island! There are so many hotels and pubs along the beach. We just chose one and lived in one of them on the beach. The sea is just in front of the hotel, so it’s very convenient for us to enjoy the sea view. We often walked on the beach those days. The sunshine and soft wind is quite comfortable, we enjoyed it as much as we could. Sometimes, we stayed and built castles, the friendly locals are very kind of to say: “how beautiful castles!” At that time, we felt a feeling of achievement.        The next morning since we arrived at the island, we left port and went to another three islands. They are all small islands, but each of them is specials. The first haven’t been exploited very well, actually, it just like a big mountain in the sea. There are many monkeys! We climbed the mountain and took lots of pictures there.   The second one called “Eagle Island”, you could imagine the special of this island, that’s right, and there are so many eagles around the island! You even no need to step on it.   The last one is the most beautiful one, the color of the sea which along the beach is light green, how clear it is! How about the beach? Of course, it matches the sea, it’s white and sands are very thin. We lie on the beach and felt comfortable sunshine and soft sands. The feeling is difficult to describe, you feel like in the paradise. We also swam and played ball in the sea, how happy and free it is! We even didn’t want to go back. Hehe   After that, we came back to Langkawi and waited for the sunset in the hotel. Around 7 o’clock, I went to the beach, how noble it is! The color of sky changed every second by shining of the sun. From yellow to orange then to red…It’s incredible natural view! Our holiday is meaningful at that time I thought.   On New Year’s Eve, we went to a Chinese restaurant. We ordered Chinese traditional food, although the taste of food is not orthodox, we still feel like in China.The only pity is that we can’t meet our parents. The New Year came when we had fun. We wished each other good luck in the New Year. In a word, it’s a happy night with friends.   The unforgettable holiday ended so quickly, we are not willing but it had already gone.
